Christie Greeley,  LPC-S, MEd.

My professional career began in the classroom and education has long been a passion of mine; thus, it is the foundation of my human services career and my approach therein. Rooted in the teachings of Dr. Dan Siegel, I believe that relationships and experiences are powerful educators and agents of change, because "what fires together, wires together." I believe that we are biologically wired for connections and spend the majority of our lives in group membership, memberships that can both harm and heal.  Helping an individual process that narrative, identify the meaning and internal beliefs that resonate for them, is an honor and privilege. My hope is that the therapy process leaves you with a sense of confidence, self-efficacy and readiness to embrace your journey.

I completed my Master’s degree in Education Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin and began my counseling career in 2006, providing mental health services via schools, homes, groups, and private practice. In 2014, I became an LPC-Supervisor prior to transitioning into the role of Director of Clinical Services at the San Marcos Treatment Center, a residential treatment center located in central Texas.  I have worked with clients braving trauma histories, mood disorders, family and relational conflicts and personal identity quests. I have also had the wonderful opportunity to work with the next generation of therapists in pursuit of licensure.

Personally, I am a proud UTA coach’s wife and dog mom, so I spend my weekends watching college softball (though I’ve never played a single inning myself) or fetch! A self-described “nerd” and lifelong reader, I can usually be found with my nose in a book. I also enjoy the big screen, especially a good documentary, Broadway shows, gardening and baking.
