Melissa Goldthwaite, LCSW-S
I am a licensed clinical social worker, who earned a Masters degree in Social Work from Loma Linda University in Southern California. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino. I was born and raised in sunny Southern California and moved to Texas 12 years ago. I have been a school social worker for the past 12 years and have also worked as a medical social worker at Cook Children’s Medical Center for the past 5 years. I previously worked for the Department of Protective Social Services, while in California.
While my education and work experience is primarily with children, my goal in private practice is to work with both adults and children and help them overcome obstacles in life they encounter. I hope to help each client develop their own path towards life fulfillment, while being able to handle and move past the “road blocks” that life can give us. I believe my empathetic and reassuring approach to therapy will allow each client to feel welcomed and safe with me.
