Couples

Marriage counseling can help couples in all types of intimate relationships — regardless of sexual orientation or marriage status. Some couples seek marriage counseling to strengthen their partnership and gain a better understanding of each other. Pre-marital counseling can also help couples who plan to get married. Marriage counseling tends to deal with present day events rather than the past. It focuses on reconnecting the marital bond that has been damaged due to infidelities, emotional disconnection, stress over a sudden change as a new child, death of a loved one, a new job, or moving to another state. Couples therapy tries focuses on the here and now, however, can bring up past unresolved issues.
